Use this API to create a dependent account from an eligible primary account for a previously added family member.

This API uses the selected family member's linkedCustomerId from Create Family Member as the dependent account customer and links the created dependent account to:

• the eligible primary account
• the selected family member
• the linked customer

The dependent account is a separate retail savings account with a separate ledger and separate transaction visibility.

Before calling this API:

• the family member must already exist under the primary client
• the family member must have a linked customer
• the linked customer must be active

Preconditions

• The primary account holder must be an active retail person
• The primary account must be active, authorized, and have subtype PRIMARY_ACCOUNT
• The linked savings product must allow dependent accounts
• The selected family member must belong to the primary client and have an eligible linked customer
